NAPLAN - (NATIONAL ASSESSMENT PROGRAM FOR LITERACY AND NUMERACY)
Students in Years 3 and 5 are assessed in Reading, Writing, Language Conventions (Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation) and Numeracy, using the national assessment program. Parents are provided with a report outlining their child's performance and schools are provided with valuable comparative data which is used to inform programs and focus areas.
NEWSLETTER
The weekly newsletter is available each Monday of school term. This is available by email or on the school website for your convenience. You can subscribe to receive an e-newsletter on our website.
NOTIFICATIONS
Communication procedures are varied and numerous at our school. This school website has the latest information. Notes from class teachers will be sent home when excursions or school/class events are coming up to request parental permission. Invoices are sent home with term accounts to parents for payment of school fees and excursions. Urgent notes are sent home on red paper.

John Purchase is a nut free zone. Please do not send students to school with peanut butter sandwiches or any nut products.
